Venue:

Our Dojo is now at Watts Hall which is part of Christ Church premises in the centre of Uxbridge, in Redford Way, UB8 1SZ, off Belmont Road. At present we are running one class per week only, which is for 18 year olds and above. We are not able to run a Children’s class at the moment but we are hoping to find suitable premises which are available on Saturday mornings, but this is proving difficult.

The Hut Dojo - Uxbridge, Middlesex:

At the Hut Dojo your first Aikido lesson is FREE.

Aikido is a Japanese defensive martial art based on throws and immobilisation techniques   which was developed in the 1920s and 30s by Morihei Ueshiba, known as “The Great Sensei”. The Hut Aikido Club is proud of its long tradition of teaching Aikido, having been in continuous existence since the 1950s. The Hut Dojo was the place where Abbe Sensei  - who was himself a student of Morihei Ueshiba, first taught Aikido in the UK.

The Hut Dojo - Chief Instructor:
Sensei Paul Foster-Dent (5th Dan), grandson of Sensei Foster.

The Hut Dojo is the Headquarters of the Institute of Aikido, which has affiliated clubs throughout the world.
